There’s never a problem… until there’s a problem!!

The global pandemic in 2020 – 2022 brought about an unprecedented time in our recent history with unforeseeable challenges leading to worldwide material supply chain issues, labour and material shortages and a global escalation in costs – the construction industry was spared none of these!

With the resultant upsurge in construction-related disputes and a noticeable lack of on-the-ground, experienced construction professionals to assist and offer practical, cost-effective advice, Hugo Advisory was established.


Led by Garth Hugo: A highly proficient and licensed construction professional with over 35 years of construction, project management and delivery experience across a wide sector of industries and contract models. Working nationally across Australia as well as international markets, highly skilled in contract and risk management, conflict and dispute negotiation and resolution.

With both site and office-based, leadership, and executive managerial roles over this period, Garth has a firm understanding of the challenges faced by the site delivery teams as well as the broader experience and knowledge of managing projects and resolving disputes with all levels of stakeholder, through the complete life cycle of the construction process.

Over this period, working for a range of Tier 1 to Tier 3 builders with clients such as Woolworths, Coles, Suncorp, McDonald’s, Puma Energy, Foodstuffs (NZ), and BP Australia (to name a few!), has given Garth a clear insight and understanding of what is required to meet high expectations across all facets of the industry, and to factor in and deliver this standard to all the parties we engage with.
